Private Sessions

These sessions are tailored to your needs. I will meet you where you are at on any given day. I am here to support you and encourage you.

All sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes. This time includes checking in with you and how you are feeling, an opportunity to write down programming for home if that’s your thing, and time to talk future scheduling if needed. All sessions end at the scheduled time.

Grip socks are required. I have grip socks available for purchase in-studio.

  • If you're new to Pilates or have specific fitness goals in mind, private sessions are the way to go. They're perfect for speeding up your learning process and getting the best results. If you're recovering from an injury, expecting a baby, post natal, or want something crafted to meet to your specific needs, private sessions are a great choice.

  • Duet Sessions are like private sessions with your +1.

As a heads up I’m not playing matchmaker here – please be prepared to book with a friend/family member/spouse, etc.

What working together looks like

always tailored to what your mind and body need

When I say your session is tailored to you, I mean it. When we work together I consider you as a whole human being as opposed to a list of limitations, injuries, diagnoses or conditions. Yes, I want to know about them but you are SO much more.

Being specific on the intake form about your goals and what is bringing you to Pilates drives our first session. I will assess how you are moving that day. You are getting to know me as a teacher as much as I’m getting to know you and what type of learner you are. The movements I’m asking you to do might feel weird or silly and like you’re doing them wrong, and that’s ok!

At around 3 sessions in, I have a better idea of how you learn as I’ve gotten to know you better. The same exercises and concepts you learned day 1 might no longer feel weird or silly. You might notice you feel stronger. I might tell you I’ve added resistance which means you are getting stronger. Because I’ve learned more about you, after I ask how you’re doing I might ask how your business trip was, how your cat/dog/bird named Pete is doing, or how your weekend run went.

Client Love

“I have worked with Allison solo and as half of a duet since long before she opened this studio and I wouldn’t want to go to anyone else. She spends so much time learning how different human bodies move and how exercises can be modified to fit the strengths and limitations of the person doing them. All that shows in how she approaches our sessions. . . I really appreciate her willingness to find the right exercise for my body. If something hurts or I can’t bend in a given way, she finds something else that I can do. There’s no shaming, just working with my body the way that it is right now. . . . Allison also knows how to push me to achieve just a little more than I thought I could. With her, I safely do things that I would have not thought my body could do. I always come out of a session with her feeling rejuvenated and better about my body.”
